Today is the day that over 1,000 blogs are blogging about the same topic. Ask Little Star is a proud participator in this event. This year's theme/topic: the Environment.
Instead of me spewing junk on my opinions, I want to hear from you. At the bottom of this screen is a poll asking for your opinion. Please add to this topic by posting a comment. I can't wait to hear what you think!

My thoughts on the environment:
ReplyDeleteWe need to create more recycling activities everywhere. There need to be more recycling plants. Of course, this will take more money, but...it's all for a good cause. The global home is being destroyed by abnormal heat waves. Don't you want to save the penguins, seals, and polar bears??? What about the whales, the fish, the land animals, humans, our descendants?
Make the world a better place, recycle!!!
HAHAHA IDK MY BFF JILL!!!!!!!!! I SAY THAT FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!! LUV U LITTLE STAR!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see that you also take on serious topics on your blog, and that you are not afraid to post people's opinions (even if they might be different from yours). I've put in my vote for the environment. However, I do want to say that the idea of recycling is great but the execution of the idea is not so good. While we have made some efforts to recycle (green bins once a week), we are reluctant to go further. What about composting kitchen waste (veggies, fruits, anything that is not meat and bones) - not if the homeowners association doesn't permit the unsightly composters in your backyards...a little hypocritical eh? And you know that the newsletters have many more subscribers than just those who recycle their papers each week - where's all the rest of the newsprint and magazines going?
ReplyDeleteRecycling needs to be convenient, and of little effort, to truly work in America. We've grown fat from our land of milk and cookies, and unless it's easy, we won't work at it...sad...
If we really want recycling to work, and to help the environment, we need to either scare the heck out of everyone into action, or change American's comfy ways. Of course, that doesn't mean we should stop trying, individually, to do our parts. But maybe one of the high schoolers can take these comments, and use them to change the world...
Keep up the great blogging!
